We’re proud to announce our partnership with Digitl - a leading consultancy and marketing technology service provider based in Germany.
The move will play a key role in accelerating our efforts to stop invalid traffic in Germany - one of Europe’s biggest markets when it comes to digital ad spend, second only to the UK.
Our partnership comes at a time when advertisers are increasingly losing control and visibility over their ad spend, due to the rise of smart bidding and fully automated campaign types such as Google’s Performance Max.
With audience targeting decisions increasingly determined by algorithms – and an estimated 10 - 25% of paid media budgets being routinely wasted on fake ad engagement – our collaboration will play an important role in ensuring data fed into automated systems comes from real users with genuine conversion potential.
Our shared vision with Digitl was recently showcased at the SMX conference in Munich, where we partnered at our stand to help raise awareness about the growing problem of fake and invalid traffic.
Our 2024 Wasted Ad Spend Report found that globally, advertisers are set to waste more than €69bn (£59bn) this year on traffic from bots, automated scripts, and other invalid users. And the financial costs stack up even further when you consider the lost revenue opportunities, had those fake clicks converted at typical rates.
Here’s what Marco Schierhorn, Managing Director of Digitl had to say:
"As we look into the future of digital advertising, we recognise the importance of giving advertisers greater control and visibility over their ad spend. That means reassuring advertisers that their traffic holds genuine conversion potential.
With that in mind, we decided to partner with Lunio, a company with a solid track record at giving world-leading brands complete transparency over their traffic, allowing for better campaign optimisations with validated data. We are delighted to be working with the original tool for stopping invalid traffic."
